Stop by the Petaluma Farmer’s Market this Wednesday, July 18th between 4:30 to 8PM and drop off some $$S at one of the first fundraisers for severely injured Petaluma soldier, Monte Bernardo. A special Lemonade/Bake Sale will be set up at the market.
Monte Bernardo was serving his second tour of duty in Afghanistan when he was critically injured by an IED, this July 4th. He lost both of his legs and one of his arms in the explosion. The longtime Petaluman and father has been transferred to the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland to start his long journey toward recovery.
The Farmers Market is very generously donate 10% of all Vendor Stall Fees from both Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon markets to help aid Monte’s recovery. Follow along for yourself on this specially dedicated site and join the community in supporting this American hero.
